SEND provision at St Newlyn East Academy

Here at St Newlyn East Learning Academy we are committed to providing a welcoming, attractive and stimulating environment to support the needs and develop the learning of the children and families in the community.
Every child and family in our community is valued and diversity is celebrated.
Our school adopts a 'whole school approach' to Special Educational Need and Disabilities (SEND). All staff work to ensure inclusion of all pupils. Our school has a clear Purpose with regard to SEND - 'We are committed to ensuring that pupils with SEND fulfil their potential and achieve optimal educational outcomes.' The structure of our provision links back to our curriculum intent - 'An Inspiring Community of Happy, Lifelong Learners.'  We truly believe that if our children are happy and have a Passion for learning then they will thrive.
Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)

Tanya is an experienced and talented SENCO who we are very lucky to have as part of our team. She is knowledgeable, approachable and, in her limited time with us, passionate for all children to succeed in school.
